long days

I didn't even get to tell about my special date me and Kody had the day before all this happend! He took me up to the restaurant on top of the Joseph Smith building called the Roof. And then walked around by the waterfall and stuff. It was so much fun! There's our only picture, because we forgot the camera.

But anyway,

I feel like I live at the hospital now! Kody had been making great progress all week, they even took his nutrition stuff off him so he could eat on his own, and we were so excited because he was probably coming home tonight or sunday. Then this morning his pancreas went up again! And the nutrition had to be put back on. Gosh. I don't know what it's from, but I'm wondering if all that jello and orange sherbet those nurses keep giving him to eat is probably not helping!!!! But otherwise he's doing really good. It seems like it's been so long, and I just can't wait for it to be over! By the time he gets out of there, I'll be going in!
Anyways, so we are looking into moving to Washington. Or anywhere that we could afford. But Kody needs to get out of the hospital first. I'm taking him over some alfalfa tea. Natalie says that would be good for him. Hmm... So basically thats how everythings been going for our new married life.

We don't often know why we go through the tests that we do. We of course have to trust that we will get through them. Many married folk don't experience troubles for a while. You are cementing your relationship during this difficult time and when it is done and over and you are all well, you hopefully will have smooth sailing for a while. In the mean time, you know you can tough it out, because you will have already done so. I think I told your Mom, hopefully I'm not repeating myself. Eleanor Roosevelt said, "Women are like tea bags, you don't know how strong they are until you put them into hot water." You, my dear Jade, would make a pretty strong cup of tea!
